Toasting a New Year!

I love starting a New Year, all fresh and full of possibilities! I love setting goals and dreaming about what this year could bring. I have always preferred goal-setting to resolution making. Resolutions seem so light, so easy to break. How about you? Have you been dreaming? I hope so.

And once the goals are set, the work begins! My goals this year include:

  1. Reaching a goal weight. Somehow while I was walking in Spain I lost a fair bit of weight, but then I found it all again, plus more! Go figure!
  2. Working on my business. I want to help a lot of people start their own business and earn income for their families. My helping others will help myself as well. Kind of nice that one gets ahead by making other people’s lives better. If you would like help growing a new income stream, earning tax benefits, and profiting when people around the world go shopping, maybe I can help you! Click here for how to EARN MONEY!
  3. Renovating my kitchen. This is WAY overdue! I have been putting it off for YEARS! I still have the original ugly linoleum and the original harvest gold stove. So if you know anyone who does renovations, or have had a good experience with a reno (or a bad one, I can learn from that also), I would love to chat!  And are there any Cashback Merchants in the Edmonton area who do renovations?  I know I can shop at Home Depot and Lowes for a lot of the materials – this will be a separate blog post later!

Yes, I know these goals aren’t in the “SMART” format, you know: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant (or Rewarding), Time-bound. I have done this work as well, but don’t want to get too specific and boring here. I recently read about “DUMB” goals too, and rather like that. It stands for Dream Driven, Uplifting, Method-friendly, and Behaviour Driven. I kind of like it. What do you think? This is from Brendan Burchard, and you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/54aFTZ9POw4?list=PLiqRgMWh6qlx6HeNm9jHOFWoS3Na0rIP9 .

So why share my goals? Sometimes I think it is powerful to share, to put it out there. Maybe it helps with accountability – feel free to ask me how those goals are coming along. Maybe my goals can help your goals (or vice versa). That might sound a bit strange, but I believe we can all help each other. Maybe not directly, but sharing an idea, making an introduction, giving some feedback, maybe some seemingly small and insignificant act. Here is one of my favourite quotes:

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back — concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.

This quote has been attributed to Goethe, but may actually be written by William Hutchinson Murray. Either way it is great. I love the line about genius, power and magic. I do believe setting goals and then committing to achieving them is very powerful. A friend of mine named her team “The Goal Getters”, which I thought was brilliant. Almost everyone “sets” goals, but how many people go “get” their goals?

Happy New Year and Happy Goal Getting!!

Cashback World Updates January 6

Okay, it is NOW a brand new year!  How about that?!  Do you have some big goals for 2018?  I do!    I even wrote a blog post on our website:  http://www.mycashback.ca/toasting-new-year/
I didn’t get too specific on that post, but specific is also an important part of goal-setting.  A couple of specific things I want to accomplish this year within Cashback World (with your help?):
1. Build up the Edmonton area Cashback World MEMBERSHIP – FREE shoppers!  Let’s get our shoppers shopping!
2. Build up my team of Lyconet Markters – together, while helping YOUR Marketers too!
3. Support our local SME Merchants and help new ones get started – let’s work together for happier merchants!!  (If you are a merchant reading this, please reach out to me so we can set up a meeting together!)
A couple of updates:
1. We have a new Zoom link for our webinars:  469-411-7269 or https://zoom.us/j/4694117269
Check www.mycashback.ca for details and schedule – schedule is changing in the New Year.
There is a corporate Cashback Solutions Webinar on Mondays (restarting January 8) at 7:00 pm MT – go to https://www.facebook.com/events/156495725107930/?event_time_id=156495731774596 to register.
So we are not having Monday night Zooms right now.
2. Well, we were going to have a social event in Edmonton last night, but too many people were sick or busy, so we have postponed it.  If you are interested in attending please send me a message with YOUR BEST DATES! – we would like to get together for a bit of socializing and if you are interested you could make a Vision Board.  Watch our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/cbcyeg/  for updates, and join the group if you haven’t yet.
3. Upcoming events:
  • January 26 – evening – event in Fort McMurray with the European Presidents.  watch GWB Facebook group for details https://www.facebook.com/groups/361057647573861/
  • March 4 – event in Fort McMurray with Corporate guests.  Again see GWB Facebook for details.
  • May 4-6 – Lyconet Elite Seminar in Southern Florida – it was amazing in November, be sure to get your ticket (talk to your upline first).  See your online office for information
  • May 29-31 – Lyconet Elite Seminar in Prague – unfortunately I won’t be able to go to Florida this spring, so I have decided to attend the seminar in Prague instead.  Is anyone planning to be there?  I would love to plan with you!
4. And check out the NEW corporate website: https://www.myworld.com/en/

  1. Completing an 800 km pilgrimage across Spain, the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. I will be doing this in April and May, and have made a separate blog to document this. If you are interested, go to https://arlenetoys.wixsite.com/mycamino. Not much there yet, but I hope to add photos and stories as we walk. I am especially excited to do this walk with my daughter and two good friends.
  2. Working on my business. I want to help a lot of people start their own business and earn income for their families. My helping others will help myself as well. Kind of nice that one gets ahead by making other people’s lives better.  Maybe we can all work together on this one.
  3. Working on my relationships – with my husband, my children, my friends and family. I am so grateful to be part of a loving family and have some really great friends. I just want to build on that and improve what I can. I love to visit and spend time with people. If you would just like to chat or go for a walk or a cup of coffee, let me know.

Cashback World Updates September 16

What’s new in YOUR Lyconet World?

From the GWB team:

The Sunday call has changed. It will be held at 9:00pm MT from now on.

This Sunday presidents Helfried Liebscherd and Walter Seebacher will be on the call to give us some important news!

this call will be an epic one, make sure to catch it at home or tune in with the Zoom app on your phone!

Sunday is World Cleanup Day in Kelowna:  here’s the Facebook event page, way to go Sofia!  World Cleanup Day Kelowna
Well, I’m getting excited about the Elite Seminar in Miami.  We have heard some of the news from Turin, and there is a LOT of excitement there for the upcoming new programs – I don’t know exactly what is coming, but it will be HUGE – and good for our business!  Go to Lyoness TV at https://www.lyoness.tv/en-US to see some video footage from Turin.  For the updates, check with your leader.  Or attend the Miami seminar and find out for yourself!  Tickets are available through me or many of the other leaders.

AND – if you have plans to promote in rank – just QUALIFY for level THREE this month, and you will receive an invitation for the Leader Summit in Florida that will be held just before the Elite Seminar!  Wow!
I got a message recently from Kim at Health Matters in Edmonton – she plans to order gift cards every week so she should have a good supply on hand.  I still recommend you call ahead before you head over for gift cards – follow this link:  https://www.lyoness.com/ca-en/cashback/en-ca/12301018-health-matters
September is heating up!    Enough time to achieve your goals?  Time to get to work NOW!  And October will be a FIVE week production month, and I believe a qualify and confirm month.  Plan NOW so your October ROCKS!  October will see the Customer Cloud opportunity for Spain/Portugal – if you want to participate, get ready now.
I found something new in My Downloads last week – under the Lyconet tab, at the bottom on the left, under the heading Merchant Markter, are CSI (Cashback Solutions International) powerpoint presentations that have different graphics for different industries.  The only thing you need to change is the pricing as it is in Euros.  Nice short presentation.  I heard there will be some other tools soon for merchant marketers as well.

There are changes to the Lyconet app and the Lyconet website, I think some are still coming but I notice there are some videos (coming soon) that you can show directly from your Lyconet app!  Check for it on i-tunes or the google play store.

There are also some upcoming events for Greenfinity (World Clean Up Day – in Ontario and BC), and Child and Family Foundation (Angel for a Day in Ontario).
Have you heard?  We have a new Gift Card Selling Point in Edmonton:  YEG Big Lake Sod Depot.  Call ahead to see what’s in stock. Maybe buy some sod, too!!

Go to our landing page www.mycashback.ca for all the news and a quick way to access the Zoom link for our shopping clinics.  There are links there to the different Facebook groups – under resources.  Also downloads for the current resources.  Stay tuned for more!

See our schedule for our Zoom webinars on the Home Page
